Inkling - Notice history

A deploy made to our SVN infrastructure starting at 12:43 PM PST was incorrectly configured, causing an outage to most Habitat features. Inkling Engineers rolled back the deploy which restored most Habitat service. After an investigation into ongoing errors, a related configuration change was reverted which fully restored service.

We've implemented a fix on the Inkling backend and are monitoring the availability of Habitat.

The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented.

Starting from 13:11UTC on August 31, 2019, our cloud server provider \(Amazon Web Services\) began experiencing connectivity issues. During this period, Habitat experienced a slight degradation in performance on a small portion of traffic. Engineers introduced fixes in Inkling's platform to mitigate the upstream provider issues to restore full access to Inkling Habitat.

This issue has been resolved.

We have introduced some fixes to mitigate the upstream cloud provider outage currently in progress and are monitoring the results.

We are continuing to investigate this issue and are working with our cloud service provider to restore access. This issue is affecting a small percentage of traffic to Habitat.

On August 21, 2019, the Inkling Platform was down for 10 minutes starting at 11:53 AM Pacific. Irregular request levels led to a core database being unable to respond to normal requests, thus preventing the Inkling platform from operating normally. The engineering team was alerted of the issue and took action to restore the platform. The team has identified an underlying change in order to prevent this issue from occurring in the future.

This incident has been resolved.
