The fix deployed resolved the issue with the Inkling Web Reader and the service is now operational. Once Amazon AWS restores full service the Inkling team will address any residual items.

Inkling has deployed a hot fix and the service should be operating normally. Continuing to monitor this closely.

Inkling has identified the root cause being an outage in a key Amazon AWS service and is in the process of deploying a hot fix to bypass that outage.

This incident has been resolved.

A workaround has been implemented and we're monitoring the situation until the AWS outage is resolved.

From 11:44 to 11:52 AM Pacific Time, a core database for the Inkling platform was overloaded resulting in an outage of Habitat and web readers. The load on the database quickly subsided without further action and normal operation was restored. The engineering team has enabled more detailed monitoring systems to identify issues like this and prevent them from occurring in the future.

This incident has been resolved and all systems are operational.

We've deployed changes to resolve the source of the elevated API errors and we are currently monitoring our systems.
